Freshly leaked screenshots of Galaxy S5 Mini running AnTuTu benchmark and CPU-Z tests have been surfaced online, confirming the rumoured specifications till date.
In addition, the leak includes a bunch of new pictures comparing the size of the device alongside Galaxy S5, which has been reportedly procured by SamMobile from an anonymous tipster, who released a set of similar leaked images earlier.
AnTuTu benchmark and CPU-Z tests have confirmed several specifications of the handset, including the yet unannounced Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470) core processor (1.4GHz) coupled with 1.5GB of RAM, a quad-core Mali-400 MP4 GPU clocked at 450MHz, an 8 megapixel rear-camera and a 2.1 megapixel front-camera with full HD (1080p) video recording capability.
Other confirmed specs for S5 Mini include a 4.5in 720p Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor.
The connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 802.11n, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS with A-GPS support, IR Blaster, NFC, GLONASS, MicroUSB port and more.
The leaked screenshots further suggest that unlike the S5, the S5 Mini will feature a rubber gasket for back cover without a flap for USB port. Besides, the device is confirmed to support IP67 certification for water and dust-proof capabilities.
On the software front, the S5 Mini will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UX out of the box and include all the features on the S5 such as Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Kids Mode.
There is still no information about the release date for the handset and henc, we could only assume that Samsung might actually unveil its Mini variant of the flagship smartphone (Galaxy S5) at the Galaxy Premiere 2014 event.
On the contrary, the recently released teaser video for the event and Samsung's official invitation hint at an exclusive launch for Galaxy Tab S. We just have to wait and see if Samsung decides to make last minute changes to its launch menu at the event.
