Prior to her untimely death on Game of Thrones, Ygritte and Jon Snow's romance unravelled before our eyes to become embodied in the immortal line: "you know nothing, Jon Snow." Since actors Rose Leslie and Kit Harington took their romance off screen – going public at the 2016 Olivier Awards – the question everyone is asking is: how much does fiction bleed into their real-life relationship?

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Scottish actress Leslie revealed all when asked if she had ever reeled off the famous line during an argument: "God no! We don't do that. It would be a fairly douchebag-y thing to do."

She went on to gush about Harington: "He's not a confrontational person so we don't ever blow off steam," adding that her he is "a great man. I'm very proud of him. There's an understanding that comes with the job... of being busy – when you have to say 'Sorry, I'm just going to bugger off for two months to film.'"

Discussing their romance in a recent interview with Vogue Italia, he said: "The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.

"If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love,"

Watch Game of Thrones at 9pm on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Sundays.
