The latest trailer for Star Wars Battlefront features a new gameplay mode that allows players to control the Millennium Falcon in a 20-player aerial dogfight. Players of the Fighter Squadron mode are also able to control Rebel X-Wings and A-Wings, Imperial Tie Fighters, and Tie Interceptors. he new Fighter Squadron mode was revealed by EA Dice at the Gamescom 2015 trade show, which is taking place in Cologne this week.

"Fighter Squadron will put you inside the cockpit of some of the most memorable vehicles ever seen in the Star Wars galaxy. We want to give fans the thrill of living out their Star Wars battle fantasies in a game that is authentic, visually stunning and fun," Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, senior producer of Star Wars Battlefront, said at the EA Dice press conference.

Previous trailers of Star Wars Battlefront have revealed on-the-ground footage, featuring Darth Vadar and Boba Fett. "For fans of the epic Star Wars scenes with Rebel and Imperial ships facing off in intense dogfights, Fighter Squadron is the ultimate Star Wars Battlefront game mode," states EA's description of the game. "Now, you can witness this airborne action in the Fighter Squadron gameplay trailer. Stick around to the end. You'll find it's full of surprises."

Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One from 17 November, 2015.
