Gear S3 value pack update
A new value pack update has been rolling out for Gear S3 smartwatch Samsung

Samsung is rolling out a value pack update for its Gear S3 smartwatch, which is available in two variants: Classic and Frontier. The update, aimed at improving the watch's utility, is currently available in major markets and would be making its way through other regions soon. The value pack update can be downloaded through the Gear app.

Samsung has updated the Health app with an improved user interface and new workout features. So now when you check out your workout features on your Gear S3, you will get information about how much time you have spent in each heart rate zone through graphs. It also adds a stretching guide, with a counting sound to guide users through the activity, the company explained in blog post on 7 April.

Other improvements to the Health app include the ability to auto-locate and record location for running or walking and sync pace-setter running targets from the app on the phone with Gear S3.

The Reminder app allows adding dates for reminders delivered through S Voice. The update also allows editing the titles of the reminders and is compatible with Gear S2.

The Accessibility features in the smartwatch have been improved to offer users more control over the device. When you activate the Direct access feature in the Accessibility menu, you would be enabled new options such as Dark screen, Greyscale and Negative colours. Users can now add personal contact details such as email and phone numbers in Find MY Gear section of the Gear Manager app.

Other key features of the update include auto-calibration option for Alt/Barometer and the Setting menu. Users can also control the music player and check the date from the watch face. The News widget can be navigated using an up/down button interface and the stopwatch counting has now been increased to three hours from one hour.
