It was a partnership from Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara (86) and opener Richard Levi (62), followed by an unbeaten knock of 46 off 19 deliveries by Brad Hodge that helped the Arabians post a mammoth total. In return, Libra Legends managed 156 runs for the loss of eight wickets from their quota of 20 overs, helping Gemini Arabians to a comfortable 78 runs victory.
Former West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been granted an NOC to feature in the MCL. It is to be seen if the left-handed batsman will feature in the Arabians' second match.
Leo Lions also come into this fixture after registering a 26 runs victory over Capricorn Commanders in the second match of the tournament. Johan Botha's unbeaten knock of 42 down the order saw his side post a total of 156 runs. He also picked up a wicket and his all round performance saw him earn the man of the match award.
