Colombian singer Shakira's footballer partner Gerard Piqué is allegedly becoming jealous over her flirty behaviour towards lead singer of American pop rock band Maroon 5, Adam Levine.

According to Star magazine, Shakira and Levine, who are working together on NBC reality show The Voice US, are getting cosy with each other on the sets.

A source told the website that the Hips Don't Lie hitmaker "has become very flirty with her fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine, and her partner of four years, Gerard Piqué, is furious."

"Adam is always touching Shakira. Gerard is livid," the insider added.

Adding on, Piqué is said to be "keeping a close eye" on Levine, who got engaged to Victoria's Secret model girlfriend Behati Prinsloo in July last year.

Shakira had previously revealed that she had asked Piqué's permission before filming a raunchy music video with pop star Rihanna.

Shakira and Bajan bombshell Rihanna turned up the heat in their duet, Can't Remember to Forget You.

In an interview with US radio presenter Ryan Seacrest, 37-year-old Shakira talked about asking Piqué's permission to do the video.

"I told him. I asked him if he agreed with everything and he agreed. I wanted to make sure because he's super jealous. He's a man. He's territorial. He wants to know everything is under control," she said.

Shakira and Piqué first met when they were featured together in a music video for the theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. They confirmed their relationship in March 2011, with a Facebook post and photograph of the two. The couple welcomed son Milan Piqué Mebarak on 22 January last year.
