The four-girl band, Little Mix, have become the ITV X Factor champs in a glittering finale. They defeated fellow contender, hairdresser Marcus Collins, in the final round and became the first ever girl band to win the title.

Little Mix sang the rendition of Damien Rice's "Cannonball," for their final performance on Sunday night. The elated four-member group screamed with joy following their victory through the public vote.

"This time next year, this is going to be the biggest girl band in the UK," the Sun has quoted Judge Louis Walsh as saying.

Many recording contracts and commercial deals are already on the way for the quartet of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who are considered the next Spice Girls.
