Benjamin made England Proud in Glasgow.

England struck gold twice in the swimming pool as Benjamin Proud and Chris Walker-Hebborn claimed victories on day two of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Proud held off South African pair Roland Scholeman and Chad le Clos to grab England's first swimming gold of the Games, setting a new Commowealth record of 22.93 seconds in the process.

And later Walker-Hebborn ended Liam Tancock's stranglehold on the 100m backstroke Commonwealth title by winning gold. Tancock took bronze.

Scotland's gold-rush in the pool continued as Daniel Wallace won the 400m individual medley final ahead of Australian Thomas Fraser-Holmes and South Africa's Sebastien Rousseau, who faded late on.
