Athlete to watch

Nicola Adams: In the first of 13 boxing medals to be won on a knockout Saturday in Glasgow, the first women's Olympic boxing champion hopes to make a bit more history. Adams has cruised into the final and faces Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh hoping to become the Commonwealth's first female boxing gold medallist. Victory could inspire England to a record medal haul.

Event to watch

Men's 10m Individual Platform Final: After Matthew Mitcham inspired Australia to 10m platform synchronised gold on Friday to claim his first Commonwealth gold, he goes into Saturday's individual final as the favourite to double up in Glasgow. In his way is one of the faces of the Games in Tom Daley, the defending champion. Daley has already relinquished his synchronised title but will be in no mood to give up individual gold in his specialist event. A titanic tussle is expected to ensue.

Anything else?

Just the 33 golds are to be decided on the penultimate day of competition, including in the boxing ring where Joe Joyce, Oais Ashfaq, Savannah Marshall and Scott Fitzgerald are the English hopes for success alongside Adams. In addition, England's women go for gold against Australia in the women's hockey final, Usain Bolt headlines the 4x100m relay at Hampden Park and England square off against New Zealand in the netball semi-final.
