After releasing the much expected iteration number 43 of its Chrome web browser for PC users, internet giant Google has now announced the release of Chrome 43 for Android.

Google Chrome 43 for Android bears version number 43.0.2357.78, and incorporates the following newer features:

  • Learn more about unknown words: If you encounter any alien word on the web, simply tap on the word on your smartphone screen to get instant information about that particular word. Google's search engine is queried to give you the most relevant descriptions including pictures, text and infographics.
  • Improved Google Wallet Checkout mechanism: Quickly and securely complete checkout forms with data from Google Wallet.
  • Adding favourite sites: You can now add, comparatively more quickly, all the websites you think should fall into your 'favourites' category.

Along with the above, Chrome 43 also incorporates stability/performance enhancements and fixes to multiple known bugs.

Apart from newer enhancements, Chrome for Android provides users the following generic list of features that remain unchanged with subsequent Chrome iterations:

  • Sync Across Devices - seamlessly access and open tabs and bookmarks from your laptop, phone or tablet
  • Save Data - reduce mobile data usage by up to 50% while browsing
  • Faster Browsing - choose from search results that instantly appear as you type and quickly access previously visited pages
  • Voice Search - use the magic of Google voice search to find answers on-the-go without typing
  • Translate - easily read webpages in any language
  • Intuitive Gestures - open as many tabs as you desire and quickly flip through them by swiping from side to side on the toolbar
  • Privacy - use Incognito mode to browse without saving your history

Google Chrome 43 for Android is available for download from the official Google Play Store.
