Purchased an AT&T Google Nexus 6 in US: New Motorola Firmware Bug Leads to Smartphone Recall and Replacements
Nexus 6 is now up for pre-order via UK Play Store. Google

Google has confirmed pre-orders for its new Nexus 6 smartphone via the UK Play Store.

Unveiled alongside the HTC manufactured 8.9in Nexus 9, and the Nexus Player developed in collaboration with Asus, the sixth generation Nexus handset is already on pre-order for US users via Play Store. The handset is reported to have been sold out in the US within a few hours of being up for pre-orders.

Now Nexus fans in the UK can also place their pre-orders through Google Play Store. As the Play Store listing suggests, Google's flagship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-loaded costs £499 for the 32GB version whereas by paying just another £50 you can get the 64GB model, priced at £549.

Prospective buyers can choose to place pre-orders for Nexus 6 in either Midnight Blue or Cloud White colour options. Along with the pre-order comes unlimited music on Google Play free for six months, notes Pocket-lint.

There is no mention of shipping date on the product page but just a note saying 'Coming Soon'.

While Google is keeping quiet about the availability of the Nexus 6, Mobile.co.uk, which is opening pre-orders from 18 November, confirmed that the new smartphone will be released on 1 December.

Meanwhile, Vodafone UK has blogged that the Nexus smartphone is coming to its stores 'soon.' Other retailers in the country are yet to announce their price deals and release details.
