GTA 5 Online: Heist DLC Release Confirmed for 1.18 Patch, New Leaked Radio Stations for GTA 5 Next-Gen
GTA 5 Next-Gen: How to Play Early on PS4 and Xbox One, Before Everyone Else Rockstar Games

Returning GTA 5 players from current-gen (PS3 and Xbox 360) to next-gen systems (Xbox One and PS4) are in for some great news, as they can download the game from Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Network from midnight on 18 November, the day of its official release.

Gamers who want early access to the next-gen version of GTA 5 can start playing the game after purchasing the download, as there's an advanced mechanism of preloading and launching the game even before the download completes.

Why the Digital Copy is Better Than the DVD?

GTA 5 next-gen gamers will no longer have to stand in long queues to get a hard copy of the game, once the game is released online.

Besides, the downloadable digital version of the game often costs less than the original hard copy or DVD versions, as the digital version can only be used on one particular IP or hardware address, while a DVD can be used on various machines, thus increasing the price of the hard copy.

Not to mention, preloading is a necessity with computer video games, given their huge download file sizes. For instance, the PS4 version of GTA 5 measures 50GB in file size, while the Xbox One version is a bit smaller at 43GB.

Hence, it would be wiser to choose the privilege of early access to digital download.
