Grand Theft Auto
Who says video games can't do sex scenes? Rockstar Games

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto franchise has always been plagued with controversy for a variety of reasons, not least of all its depiction of women and the inclusion of prostitutes within the game.

Until now the ability to pay a prostitute for their services in GTA has resulted in the awkward rocking of the car you're in and yet more awkward... erm... noises.

However, it has been revealed that the new first person mode included in Grand Theft Auto 5 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One also extends to this, resulting in further illicit material.

There's no graphic nudity involved and anyone who finds it titillating in any way either has serious issues unrelated to the game or is a teenager too young to have bought it, but it's still sure to stir up yet more controversy.

In the minds of Rockstar however any controversy is good controversy. Their crime epic series is an unstoppable cultural force like it has never been before, and remember this is the company who fought against and defeated campaigning lawyer Jack Thompson, who would go on to be disbarred.

If you're curious to see what the first person perspective offers in Grand Theft Auto 5's prostitution-hiring, you can watch a gameplay video below. Be warned however, it's likely to give you nightmares and ends with the player shooting the prostitute dead – which is the worst part.

You also probably shouldn't watch it work... obviously.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is out now on PS4 and Xbox One. It will be released on PC come 27 January, 2015.
