GTA 5: Liberty City DLC
GTA 5 DLC: Liberty City now available on Google Play YouTube

Grand Theft Auto fans who missed playing GTA Liberty City Stories have something to celebrate. The title is now available on Android phones at an introductory discount.

The gaming app is available for $3.99 (€3.57, £2.76) at a 40% discount for a limited period. The game has been customised with many enhancements to suit mobile gamers.

This announcement comes a couple of months after Rockstar North, the publishers and developers of this game, launched this title on Apple Store. However, the Android version is said to be better than the iOS version.

"Former trusted the wise guy for the Leone family, Toni Cipriani returns home to Liberty City after spending time in hiding for killing a made man. Now, the streets of Liberty City are in turmoil, as warring families vie for control, and the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes," the game description elaborates.

As described in Google Play Store, some of the enhancements are:

  • New high-resolution textures and character art
  • Real time lighting and shadows
  • Enhanced draw distance
  • Rebalanced controls for touch-based gaming
  • Cross-platform cloud saves via the Rockstar Social Club
  • Physical controller support

GTA Liberty City Stories isn't the first Android app for Rockstar North. They have a host of other GTA games like Grand Theft Auto III 10 Year Anniversary Edition, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Rockstar North is trying all possible ways to keep its fans hooked on to the game. Last week, it launched a new Valentine special DLC for GTA 5. At present, the publisher is busy developing new modes and updates for the existing GTA 5 even as the market is speculating a delay in the release of the next version, GTA 6, after the departure of studio head Leslie Benzies.
