Overview

The Warriors are the in-form team of the ongoing 2016 Caribbean Premier League, winning all four of their games so far and are on top of the league table with eight points. The only undefeated team in the tournament, the Warriors cruised past St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by four wickets in their last game on 9 July.

Skipper Martin Guptill finally found some form after a lean spell with the bat smashing 43 off just 22 balls to guide them home, but what has been impressive is the performance of their bowlers, especially Australian spinner Adam Zampa and Pakistan pace-bowler Sohail Tanvir. The duo are on top of the wicket-takers' charts with nine each and it is they who have helped the Guyana side restrict the other teams.

With five games to go after this, Guyana will know that a win here will put them in the driver's seat to seal a spot in the knock-out stages.

Defending champions Trinbago have had a poor tournament so far, winning just one of the four games played and are currently in the fifth place on the table with two points. They come into this clash on the back of a seven-wicket loss to Jamaica Tallawahs on 4 July.

Despite having the top two scorers in the tournament, they have struggled to win games. South African batsman Hashim Amla and Kiwi Colin Munro are on top of the batting charts with 187 and 172 respectively, but it is the bowlers who have let them down.

Trinbago have a power-packed line-up and need a win here to ensure that they stay in the running for an opportunity to qualify for the play-off stages.
