An online Islamic sex shop which sells 'halal' products like condoms, massage oils and perfumes has been launched for the first time in Turkey.
The 'Halal Sex Shop' website prescribes its products as entirely safe and in accordance to Islamic rules, AFP reports.
The founders of the site, which wanted to stay anonymous, said that their purpose is to change prejudices against Islam as far as sex is concerned.
"The religion of Islam has praised sex under certain circumstances," they wrote on the site.
"The use of every product on sale is in compliance with Islam."
The shop presents two different links directing men and women to two separate sections for male and female products.
Among the products available for men are alcohol-free retardant creams and perfumes, water-based lubricants and gels, herbal teas to enhance sexual performances and common durex condoms.
Products for women include aphrodisiac massage oisl, breast enlargement creams, retardant sprays, all alcohol-free.
The website has also forum sections to discuss sex in the context of Islam under various headings: "Oral sex according to Islam", "Sex manners in Islam" and "Sexual life in Islam."
