Three year old Maheen Shakoor who was rescued from a devastating fire yesterday that killed her mothers and four siblings in Harlow Essex. Is still in a critical condition at Broomfield hospital in Chelmsford .

Her father Dr Abdul Shakoor, also a doctor, was transferred from the Princess Alexandra Hospital to Broomfield hospital in Chelmsford to be close to his only surviving child. Mr Shakoor , is described as very poorly and suffering from severe smoke inhalation after police said 'he valiantly tried to save his family'.

The child's mother Doctor Sabah Usmani, , her sons Sohaib, 11, and Rayyan, six, daughter Hira, 13, and a third son, Muneeb, nine, all died at their end-of-terrace home .

Essex Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze, which started downstairs while the family were asleep upstairs, had developed rapidly, suggesting some kind of fuel may have been used.

At a press conference yesterday Chief Supt Luke Collinson, of Essex Police, said they would be looking at several lines of inquiry, including whether the family were the unintended victims of the attack" and urged anyone with any information to come forward.
