It seems that every time you switch on the TV, open a newspaper or login on to a website these days news of a new or more devastating cyber-attack is not far away.

Most recently we've seen the crippling attack against Sony Pictures, an attack which left the studio's systems unusable and which exposed sensitive employee data.

The question is, have other businesses learned their lessons from the past 12 months, when dozens of high profile attacks have seen millions of customers private data stolen and traded online?
