Hitman: Absolution has revealed a new image and an interesting new death for one of the residents of the town of Hope, South Dakota, where the game is set.

Hitman: Absolution New Screenshot and Death Revealed but Still No Release Date

"Mechanic Crushed By Car Lift!" reads the headline on the fourth edition of the Hope News Times spoof newspaper, which is published each week to promote Hitman: Absolution.

It seems that 49-year-old Josh Wiggins is the latest resident of Hope to suffer a nasty accident. At least that's what it appears, until we see the leaked screenshot showing Agent 47's role in the event.

"Crushed by car lift? Reminds me greatly of Hitman: Contracts," says Facebook user Oskari P Alaraasakka on the official Hitman Facebook page.

However, the biggest question being asked in the comment section continues to be: "When is the release date?"

The answer: 20 November, 2012. Or Week 47 if you prefer.

Customers pre-ordering Hitman: Absolution also get a bonus game that will be available on PC in August.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge is a standalone game featuring Agent 47 and will offer online leaderboards with monthly prizes for the best hitmen and women.

After a six-year break, it's understandable that fans are growing restless. That's still nowhere near the 13-year wait Diablo fans had been the second game and the release date for Diablo III.

Hitman: Absolution is created by IO Interactive A/S, part of Square Enix Europe.
