Kate Middleton has proved more than a fashion trendsetter after showing off her hockey skills to Team GB at the Olympic Park.

The duchess, who was captain of the first XI hockey team at Marlborough College, could not pass up the chance to relive her younger years and play with the national team.

Although she arrived dressed in yet another impressive outfit of skin-tight coral three-quarter-length jeans, blue heels and a smart blue blazer with an official Team GB supporters' scarf she quickly changed into comfy Adidas trainers and GB sweatshirt.

The 30-year-old, an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, wasted no time impressing the other players by scoring with her first shot from in front of goal.

She continued to charm the team by engaging in banter with the women's and men's team player as well as performance director David Faulkner.

Middleton, who was joined by team captains Kate Walsh, 31, and Barry Middleton, 28, plus Emily Maguire, 24, and Niall Stott, 31, was given with a white sleeveless team top with Cambridge 1 on the back and a polo style shirt for Prince William.
