After a rather intense penultimate episode of Homeland Season 4, fans are looking forward to the season finale to find out how the plot unfolds for Quinn and Carrie.

Official synopsis of Homeland Season 4 finale titled Long Time Coming suggests that Carrie and Saul are safe and back home. However, no information about Quinn, who took to a dangerous mission while ISI issued a kill order for him, has been revealed.

"Back in the States, Carrie and Saul investigate what she saw in Islamabad," reads the brief synopsis of the upcoming finale episode.

A promo and sneak peek (below) of the finale episode has released giving a glimpse of Quinn in action and an upset Carrie.

The promo clip shows Carrie (Claire Danes) doing some investigation and apparently seeing surprising results. It also teases Saul (Mandy Patinkin) and Quinn's (Rupert Friend) appearances, reports Aceshowbiz.

It was announced in November this year that Homeland will return with a "12 episode Season 5" in the year 2015 – so there is also a possibility that Season 4 might just end on a cliffhanger.

Homeland Season 4 finale, episode 12 titled Long Time Coming airs this Sunday (21 December) on Showtime.
