HTC One M8 Gets Android 4.4.4 KitKat (Build 3.28.401.6) with Eye Experience in Europe HTC

HTC has started rolling out the new Android 4.4.4 KitKat update with build number 3.28.401.6 to existing HTC One devices, which also brings the new Eye Experience feature via Over-The-Air (OTA) update.

The OTA update weighing 252MB is now available for download for HTC One M8 users in Europe, as the current KitKat firmware gets bumped from version 2.22.401.5 to 3.28.401.6.

The information about the availability of this update has been leaked by prolific leakster LlabTooFeR via Twitter, while a YouTube video (below) explains the new features introduced by the HTC Eye Experience for HTC One M8 users.

The video has been recorded in some non-English version and hence you may have difficulty in interpreting the narration.

Nevertheless, HTC has given a clear description on each of these new features, as listed below:

The HTC Eye experience provides innovative enhancement for taking photos and making videos.

  • Face Tracking – Track up tp 4 faces during a video chat
  • Split Capture : Record the action in front of you and yourself at the same time
  • Face Fusion: Using 2 photos such as your selfie and a photo of your favorite celebrity, try blending your look together.
  • Voice Selfie: Take a picture or video selfie by just saying "cheese" or "action"
  • Live makeup: Smoothen your skin before taking your selfie.
