The newly announced HTC One Mini, a compact version of flagship smartphone HTC One, will enter the UK smartphone market on 9 August.

Following the official announcement by HTC, UK retailers such as Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u have confirmed the pre-order for the device.

Carphone Warehouse is offering the One Mini at a suggested retail price of £379.95. Besides, the One Mini is up for pre-order on contract with O2.

Phones 4u will be also stocking the One Mini once it becomes available in the UK. Currently, the One Mini is on pre-order at Phones 4u on contracts with carrier networks such as EE, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange.

As for the market launch, both Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u have noted that the stocks for the new handsets are expected on 9 August.

Online retailer, MobileFun is also taking pre-order for the One Mini which costs £379.99. The retailer has mentioned that it will be offering a full range of accessories for the new handset including branded cases.

Featuring a 4.3in High Definition 720p screen, the HTC One Mini combines technologies including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zeo and HTC BoomSound. The One Mini with aluminium unibody design, will be available in two colour variants: Glacial Silver and Stealth Black.

It is powered by Snapdragon 400 chip featuring a dual-core Krait 300 processing unit with each core running at clock speeds up to 1.4GHz, and paired with Adreno 305 graphics unit. It will runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of box.

Besides, the device has a four megapixel UltraPixel camera sensor which captures 300% more light than the traditional smartphone camera sensors. The UltraPixel camera includes HTC Zeo which allows users to automatically record action before and after the shutter button is pressed. The handset has a 1.6megapixel front-facing camera.
