Husband arrested for live streaming sex with wife on porn site

A software engineer from the southern Indian city of Hyderabad was arrested last week for secretly filming sexual acts with his wife and streaming them live on a porn website.

The 33-year-old techie's arrest came after the victim lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police in November 2016 after one of her friends alerted her about the clip on an adult site. However, at that time the 28-year-old woman did not have any idea about her husband's involvement in the crime.

A case under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act had been registered, S Jayram, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Police Station) said.

During the initial investigation, police interrogated a man from Thrissur, Kerala, whose Internet Protocol (IP) address was found on the video link. The man admitted that he downloaded the video from a live streaming porn website and later uploaded it on others.

As the investigation progressed, it was found that the video was published online from the couple's bedroom via live streaming.

"It was then that we became suspicious of the victim's husband. After making discreet enquiries about his habits and profile, we thoroughly screened his e-mails, bank transactions and social media interactions.

"The data we recovered gave us enough evidence to conclude that the accused was responsible," Jayram was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

He added that the man had played a movie on the laptop so that his wife could not notice web cam was on. The man also wanted his wife to look at the monitor so that the viewers watching the film could see her properly, the officer said.

The accused has confessed his crime, saying he wanted to earn more money in a short span of time.

He even admitted of having addiction to pornography since childhood and added that he was a registered member of some adult websites as a male escort ready to offer his "services" to women.
