In their last fixture, India registered a comfortable 73-run win over Australia. For the first time in the T20 World Cup, Dhoni lost the toss and his side were made to bat against George Bailey's side. They put up a total of 159 runs for the loss of seven wickets from their 20 overs - Yuvraj Singh was the top scorer with 60 runs.

In reply, Australia failed to get going from the beginning of their innings as they were bowled out for 86 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin was the star player with the bowl after the off-spinner picked up four wickets, conceding 11 runs in the process.

Meanwhile, South Africa made it to the semi final of the T20 World Cup after finishing their group in the second place, losing the top spot to Sri Lanka. The Proteas lost their opening game against the Lankans and went on to win the remaining games against New Zealand, Netherlands and England.

In their last Super 10 fixture, South Africa registered a narrow three-run victory over England after scoring a total of 196 runs.

Dhoni will once again rely on his spinners to do the job while South Africa will be banking on Imran Tahir to shine against India on Friday.
