Overview

After the end of the Champions League T20, international cricket returns to India in less than a week's time. Indian skipper MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to their second glory in the competition.

The West Indies tour of India will see the Caribbean side play five ODI's, one T20 international match, which will then be followed by a three-match Test series. The last time they toured India they played a historic series as it was Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar's final international series.

The result went in the hosts' favour as they managed to win both the test and the ODI series without any trouble. Dhoni's track record in the limited overs on home soil suggests India should manage to win the ODI series without much trouble.

The visitors will be without the services of star spinner Sunil Narine as he was withdrawn by the West Indies cricket board for the India tour. The right-arm bowler was suspected of chucking in the recently concluded Champions League T20 and was ruled out from bowling in the finals against the Chennai Super Kings.

Narine has now been withdrawn from all formats as West Indies will work on helping him reassess his bowling action. With the World Cup just a few months away, West Indies will not risk playing him and will try to get him eligible before the tournament starts in Australia early next year.

Meanwhile, India would be hoping to continue their impressive ODI record and Dhoni would be looking to add another series win aganist his name as the hosts' captain.
