Pod2g Twitter Update
iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak: Pod2g Adds iPad 3,3 Support to Absinthe 2.0, Release Imminent Twitter

The latest jailbreak news indicates Pod2g has successfully broken iPad3,3 using Absinthe for an iOS 5.1.1 untethered break.

"OK just added iPad3,3 support to Absinthe thanks to @flawlessfox. Only remains iPad2,4 now but we need the actual device. Any people of #HITB2012AMS has an iPad2,4? Model number: either MC954 or MC989. Please check in Settings / General / About," tweeted pod2g, extending the list of supported devices for the forthcoming jailbreak.

For everyone who has missed out on all the news, earlier this week Pod2g indicated the untethered break was almost ready and the release was imminent. There was also a video uploaded by xvolks demonstrating the break in action. Meanwhile, the Hack in the Box (HITB) conference in Amsterdam is underway and more news on the jailbreak is expected.

In the meantime, Pod2g has given us another quick status update on his jailbreak progress and with more iDevices joining the list of supported devices, Pod2g updated his blog. The new list is given below:

  • iPhone 3Gs
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 4 CDMA
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPad 1
  • iPad 2 Wifi
  • iPad 2 GSM
  • iPad 2 CDMA
  • iPad 3 Wifi
  • iPad 3 CDMA
  • iPod 3G
  • iPod 4G
  • iPad 3 Global
  • AppleTV 2

Apple TV 3 still does not find support with the forthcoming jailbreak tool, which means there is only one more device, the £255 ($399) iPad 2 that needs to be tested against the Absinthe 2.0 jailbreak tool.
