Overview

Mumbai enter the game on the back of a crucial victory over the mighty Chennai Super Kings (CSK), inspired by all-round performance from Kieron Pollard. With that victory, the hosts are now fourth in the league table with two points after two games, having lost their opening game against the Royal Challengers Banaglore (RCB).

MI have a strong batting line-up, which include the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting. The Aussie, who led Mumbai to a morale boosting victory over CSK, will be desperate to pick up all two points against the Daredevils at the Wankhede.

Meanwhile, the Daredevils have failed to win in this edition of the IPL so far, having lost both their games, to Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. However legendary opener Virender Sehwag and fast bowler Morne Morkel are both set to return to the side today, a vital boost for the visitors. Morkel ended the previous campaign with 25 wickets and his return will energise a bowling attack that has struggled thus far.

Team News

MI: The Mumbai side will be given a major boost by the return of pacer Lasith Malinga to their starting line-up, after the Sri Lankan missed out the first two games due to injury. Meanwhile, Pollard will be hoping to build on his outstanding performance in the last game.

DD: David Warner could open with Sehwag, with Mahela Jayawardene bringing stability in the middle order. Morkel and Andre Russell are likely to take the remaining two spots in the visitors' overseas quota.
