Overview

Mumbai are firmly placed in third spot and a win here will take them to 20 points, level with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Their superior run rate means that they will move to the top of the table and with a viable chance of topping the league stage. The hosts have a brilliant record at home, winning all their games at the Wankhede and will be favourites going into the tie.

Their last game ended in a five wicket win over the Pune Warriors who have already been knocked out of the tournament. The Warriors managed to put up a score of 112 on the board with Yuvraj Singh (33) and Manish Pandey (29) showing any semblance of a fight. In reply Mumbai chased the score down with 7 balls remaining with Rohit Sharma top scoring with 37.

The Sunrisers are in desperate need of a win against Mumbai in order to strengthen their hold in the race for the top four. Hyderabad's destiny is in their own hands and a win in their last three matches will secure them a place in the next round. However, the visitors have two crucnh games coming up against Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in their remaining fixtures and will be aiming for full points here to alleviate the pressure.

Hyderabad's last game ended in a fiercely fought 30 run win over Kings XI Punjab where a late blitz from Karan Sharma and Thisara Perera helped Hyderabad put up a score of 150 on the board. In reply, Punjab succumbed to a score of 120, with Luke Pomersbach top scoring with 33.

Mumbai are almost guaranteed a place in the final four and a win here will take them closer to a finish in the top two. This is a must-win game for Hyderabad, failing which will give the impetus back to Bangalore to push for a top four spot.
