The ninth edition of the Indian Premier League is set to get underway on 9 April and go on until 29 May with every cricket fan in India and across the world set to be glued to their television sets to take in the glitz and glamour of the tournament. The entertainment factor of the IPL is not only limited to the cricket pitch, but off it as well. It is a competition that has no age or gender restriction, with people from all walks of life coming together to support their favourite teams and players.

This edition will see two new entrants in the Rising Supergiants from Pune and the Gujarat Lions, who are replacing the suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. The opening ceremony of the tournament is set to be held on 8 April, with the first match between reigning champions Mumbai Indians and newcomers Rising Supergiants Pune set to get underway the following day at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. United Kingdom

The match start timings are 11.30am BST and 3.30pm BST. Live TV coverage is available on Sky Sports 3 and Sky Sports 3 HD.

India

Live TV coverage is available on Sony Max, Sony Six and Sony ESPN channels with matches starting during weekdays at 8pm IST, while weekends will have two matches with the first starting at 4pm IST.
