Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are still in the throes of wedded bliss, despite recent reports to the contrary. The Hollywood couple have marked their second wedding anniversary with a cute selfie on Instagram, putting on a united front in the face of claims their marriage is on the rocks.

Breaking their tradition of privacy on social media, Theroux, 45, celebrated his second year of marriage to Aniston, 48, on 5 August with a sweet selfie together. In the close-up, the Horrible Bosses actress is seen puckering up and giving her husband a kiss on the cheek while staring at the camera. Perhaps lost for words, Theroux simply captioned the image with a cupid's arrow, heart emoji and two fingers making a peace sign.

The Wanderlust co-stars are clearly still going strong despite rumours their busy work schedules were keeping them apart. Theroux has spent several filming his critically-acclaimed HBO series The Leftovers while Aniston is typically shooting movies on-location.

Days before their wedding anniversary, an insider alleged to People: "It took them a while to figure everything out. It's possible that this marriage would not have worked if they were in their 20s, but they aren't. They are great friends and have total respect for each other."

The source continued: "Jen realised you can be happily married without being together 24/7. They have so much to catch up on and it makes their marriage exciting. She still talks about how she finds him very sexy. Not seeing each other every day makes them appreciate each other more. They have the best life together."

Aniston and Theroux began dating in 2011 and tied the knot on 5 August at their Bel Air home. In April, Theroux gushed about his famous wife and how marriage has changed his perception on life, telling Rhapsody magazine: "Marriage makes the small things much smaller and the big things small. You have an ally. It's good to have someone have your back."

Their work schedules may have kept Aniston and Theroux apart during their marriage so far but it could actually bring them together soon enough. Earlier in 2017, Theroux admitted he would love to write a TV role for his wife, hinting at what would be a greatly anticipated collaboration.
