Commuters on the Jubilee Line are facing delays to their journeys after North Greenwich station was forced to close due to a fire on the track. The service between Canary Wharf and Stratford was suspended this morning (29 February) as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said a "small fire" had broken out on the westbound line. Passengers travelling on the Jubilee Line are being forced to disembark at Canary Wharf where they can take the DLR line.
A Transport for London (TfL) spokesman said there were minor delays westbound between Stratford and Green Park, adding that North Greenwich was due to reopen shortly. For more updates, visit the TfL website here.
