Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have released XX minutes of gameplay shown behind closed doors at last month's E3 trade show, showing off the extent of options available to players in the chaotic open world action game.

You can watch the trailer below...

Avalanche's gorgeous world is built more as a playground than a believable place, with plentiful opportunities for showing off the game's extensive levels of destruction. In the video we see lead character Rico use a jet fighter as a bullet, destroy a bridge and raise hell in a tank.

Another trailer, or set of trailers, invites players to "choose your own chaos" with links at the end of the series of videos giving viewers the illusion of where to take the action.

"At E3, we wanted to show our fans a sneak peek into the sheer volume of creative choices they will have access to in the game," said Christofer Sundberg, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Avalanche, "Today, we're excited to share the fun with the rest of our Just Cause fans around the world."

Just Cause 3 was one of the more impressive and fun-looking games shown off during E3 2015, delighting fans with its wanton disregard for the laws of physics as Rico takes down a tyrant with an arsenal of weaponry and gadgets.

His wing suit and parachute, as well as numerous vehicles can be used to traverse the open world fictional island of Medici in the Mediterranean. His grapple can be used to hitch a lift, quickly hijack a vehicle and tether objects – allowing players to bring down scenery and take out enemies.

Just Cause 3 arrives five year after the previous game in the series and will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 1 December 2015.
