Thousands of Americans want to throw Justin Bieber out of the country, according to a petition which is sweeping the country.

Even though the singer still enjoys the loyalty of his fans, the majority of the country seems to be thoroughly sick of him and have moved to have the Boyfriend singer deported from the US, reports Enstars.

The petition, featured on the We the People section of the official White House website, reads:

"We petition the Obama Administration to Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card. We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture.

"We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people, he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

The petition, created by someone using the initials J.A. from Detroit, Michigan, needs to receive at least 100,000 signatures by Feb. 22 in order to be officially considered by the Obama Administration.

"As of press time, 78,029 people from across the country had signed the petition," says the Enstars report.

The petition was created the same day Bieber was arrested for a drag racing incident in Miami Beach, Florida.

According to the report, unless Bieber is charged with a serious felony and is convicted, deportation is highly unlikely. He is legally considered a permanent citizen of the US, even though he has previously stated that he has no intention of becoming a US citizen.

Bieber's drag racing arrest, and his earlier charge of driving under the influence (DUI), are apparently considered misdemeanors and therefore not serious enough to warrant deportation.

Bieber is still under investigation and could face felony charges for an egg attack on a neighbour's house.
