A recent health scare saw him spend Thanksgiving away from his family but it looks like Kanye West won't be missing out on any other special occasions this year. According to People magazine, the rapper has been released from UCLA Medical Centre, where he was receiving treatment for exhaustion, and will be able to celebrate his son's first birthday at home come 5 December.

"Kanye is at home with Kim and the kids. He seems okay and happy to be home. Kim's family is visiting," an insider told the publication. "Kanye will continue to receive treatment and help with how to cope with stress. He needs to learn how to better balance his work and family life."

The father-of-two was admitted to the facility on 21 November following a "psychiatric emergency", hours after cancelling the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo tour.

It has been claimed that a contributing factor to his breakdown was the anniversary of mother's Donda's death: "His mother died in November, so this time of year always brings him a lot of pain," another source told People "He keeps that pain internalised, but sometimes will talk about how hard this time of year is for him. He works through the pain every November."

News of his release comes hours after his supermodel sister-in-law Kendall Jenner, revealed that the whole family had rallied around West following the health scare. "Yes, of course [he'll be OK]." She told Entertainment Tonight at the Victoria's Secret fashion show in Paris."Everyone's OK. Everyone is doing OK, [we're] just praying."

After a rough year, which has seen Kardashian robbed at gunpoint in Paris, the superstar couple will be hoping that their son's milestone birthday will help them end 2016 on a high. The couple welcomed their second child on 5 December 2015. Hours later, the proud parents, who already have two-year-old daughter North West, revealed the highly anticipated baby name on her website with the message: "To our fans. Saint West. 12.05.15. 8 pounds, 1 ounce." The message was accompanied by four emojis, depicting their family.

Considering their recent troubles, there is a good chance that the couple may opt to make their son's first birthday a low-key fashion to focus on West's mental and physical health. Back in 2014, they throw their daughter North a lavish Coachella-theme party for her first birthday which featured a Ferris wheel, festival-themed lip-sync booth and celebrity guest.
