Her absence created a buzz at the fashion weeks in New York, London and Milan but American model Karlie Kloss did make a big splash at the Paris Fashion Week as she walked the ramp for a throng of fashion giants like Dior, Stella McCartney and Miu Miu.

The 19-year-old model often ranked among the top models in the world had announced last month that she would be taking a break from all catwalks for a "big opportunity." Kloss, who had dominated major fashion weeks in the past, dropped out of the New York Fashion Week at the last minute.

With no sign of Kloss during the first three fashion weeks, people began to wonder about the "big opportunity".

Speculation increased as Next Model Management, the agency which manages Kloss reportedly tweeted images of its Paris model board with Kloss's Vogue Italia cover among those pictures.

The model finally appeared for Belgian-Italian designer Anthony Vaccarello's Fall/Winter collection at the Paris Fashion Week in a midnight blue silk-satin suit.

Following this, it was one show after another as the model strutted her stuff for a series of high-end couture designers like Elie Saab, Manish Arora, Miuccia Prada and Dior. Kloss is known for her runway walk which is one of the most unique and is often described as powerful.

Apart from fashion weeks, Kloss has featured in a number of advertisement campaigns in the past including Donna Karan, Nina Ricci, Chloé, Lacoste, Sportmax, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent to name a few.

In 2011 Kloss renewed her contract with Christian Dior for the third season in a row and in the same year, she made her debut in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
