Just one week ago Karrueche Tran posted an image of Orange Is The New Black star Ruby Rose on her Instagram account, stating that the Australian model-turned-actress was making her question her sexuality. Now the brand new friends have revealed on social media that they have met over dinner.
Talking to TMZ following the pair's Los Angeles lunch, Tran implied Rose had officially married her fashion designer partner Phoebe Dahl in secret, something that had been speculated for months.
When probed as to whether she was going to act on her self-confessed "girl crush", Tran shut down questions with the exclamation: "She's happily married!"
A cameraman swiftly pulled her up on the statement, correcting her by saying "fiancé, Karrueche", to which the model replied "she's still taken! We're just good friends." Meanwhile, 29 year old Rose appeared unphased by the exchange, smiling and walking ahead whilst Tran continued talking to reporters.
NW magazine has previously reported that earlier this month, Rose and Dahl took part in a commitment ceremony in Spain. A source told the magazine: "They're going to have an official wedding next year in LA, but they both felt the timing was perfect to hold a ceremony confirming their love for each other."
However, a spokesperson of Rose's was quick to deny the claims that the two have secretly wed, clarifying that they have "definitely" not tied the knot yet.
The couple became engaged in March of last year after having dated for three months, when Dahl reportedly broke into Rose's house early one morning with cards and flowers, then popping the question. Talking about the proposal to The Kyle And Jackie O radio show, the Netflix star said: "I was convinced it was a prank... this was a prank that went horribly right... this is my soulmate, this is the woman of my life, we're so in love."
It's not just Tran that the Australian actress has been hanging out with since her new-found fame. After the release of OITNB's third season just over a week ago, Rose finally met pop singer Justin Bieber after years of joking about being called his doppelganger in interviews.
