Kate Middleton had stunned observers by shedding her extra 'baby weight' within a few weeks of giving birth to Prince George. The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge has now topped a poll for the body women most admire in the UK.
In a poll conducted by weight management company Ideal Weight, which surveyed 1,000 women with children, 21% admitted that they wanted a body like Kate.
"With her sensible attitude to weight loss post-pregnancy, we're not surprised that Kate Middleton tops the list of celebrity figures we admire," Kirsty Powell, spokesperson at Ideal Weight, said.
"We're even more pleased to hear that mums are no longer being so heavily influenced by celebrities and, as they are going against the tide and realising the pitfalls of fad dieting, their healthy approach to weight loss will mean getting it off and keeping it off."
During an ultra marathon event in north Wales, Kate's first public engagement since the birth of the royal baby, she appeared to have shed all her pregnancy weight. For the event, the Duchess wore a green Ralph Lauren jacket over a Zara blouse and a pair of skinny black jeans.
"You could hardly tell she had just given birth," a source close to the Middleton family told Us Weekly, adding that Kate has "hardly done anything to lose the weight."
"Kate's still breastfeeding and the small weight she gained while pregnant has just melted off," the insider said, adding: "She's not dieting. After giving birth, she did continue with her yoga."
