After fronting cosmetics brand Bobbi Brown for two years, it looks like Katie Holmes is on a mission to beautify the world one campaign at a time.

The Hollywood actress been named as the first ever global brand ambassador for skincare giant Olay.

In her new role, Holmes will not only front a number of advertising campaigns, but act as a spokesperson for the brand.

"It's an Ohio company, so it feels like home to be working with them," the Ohio-born star told People magazine. "They really mean something to women. I remember buying Olay in high school because I wanted to look pretty."

She added: "Olay is a brand I respect, trust and believe in. I love the products and message to women to never settle and put their best face forward, every day."

Holmes says that a combination of combination of exercise, diet and Olay's Regenerist cream cleanser helps her feel "beautiful on the inside and outside".

Aside from her new endorsement deal, the 35-year-old star, who was previously married to Tom Cruise, has been keeping busy with a number of ventures.

As well as being the co-owner of haircare line, Alterna, Holmes is preparing to make her directorial debut – and star in – All We Had, the film adaptation of Annie Weatherwax's acclaimed debut novel.
