Pop star Selena Gomez's rumoured reconciliation with Justin Bieber might be Katy Perry's handiwork. Gomez has confessed that Perry is the one she turns to for relationship advice.

"I actually talked to her about guys who are intimidated by strong girls. I haven't found someone yet who could understand my lifestyle, support it, love me through it, and not be threatened by it," Gomez confessed in the March issue of Seventeen magazine.

Gomez and Bieber sparked reconciliation talk after Bieber posted an intimate snapshot of the two on his Instagram page on 4 January.

Following that, he posted a picture of his 'love' tattoo, right next to ink art of a jester.

Meanwhile, Gomez also opened up to Seventeen about her recent feud with 17-year-old songstress Lorde.

"I'm going to support her whether she likes me or not because I think she's doing great things," Gomez stated. Lorde had blasted Gomez in September, suggesting that Come & Get It was anti-feminist and that she was 'sick of women being portrayed this way.'

"Someday I will see her and we'll be cool," she added. She also spoke of her fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato and admitted that she often felt 'defeated' and 'like an underdog' when compared to them.

Gomez recently surprised fans in December when she cancelled 13 of her Stars Dance world tour shows in both Asia and Australia due to her need for a little personal time.

It was reported that the 21-year-old singer was diagnosed with Lupus a few years ago and that she has recently suffered from 'flares' which resulted in facial swelling, intense fatigue, joint pain and headaches.

"Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her Lupus is really catching up with her right now," a source told Popdust.

"She knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life," the source added.

When quizzed by the Huffington Post if Gomez is suffering from Lupus, a rep for the singer said 'no comment.' But when news of the cancellations first broke, a source told E! News that the rehab rumours were not true and mentioned health concerns as the motivation for her 'taking a little break.'
