Singer Kesha's mother, Pebe Sebert has revealed the struggles her daughter went through to lose weight. She says that it even went up to a point where she might have lost her life.

"[The doctors] told me her blood pressure and sodium were so low they'd never seen that, except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead onstage," the 57-year- Sebert stated.

She also recounted how her daughter's self confidence was slowly tarnished by her music producer, Lukasz Sebastian "Dr Luke" Gottwald.

"I've watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight - to the point that she almost died," she says.

She also says that she overheard a conference call once early in her daughter's career.

"You need to lose weight! I don't care what you do, take drugs, not eat, stick your finger down your throat," Ke$ha's former manager David Sonnenberg had apparently screamed at her that way, according to her mother.

Her music producer, Lukasz Sebastian "Dr Luke" Gottwald reportedly, repeatedly called her a "fat f**king refrigerator" and praised her once she lost weight.

"After she lost weight...he said, "Thank God you finally got rid of all that weight! We've all been talking about it!"' her mother claims.

Lukasz, meanwhile has denied Serbert's allegations.

"It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is seemingly suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health," he told The People.

Kesha's mother has now checked into the same rehabilitation centre where her daughter is seeking treatment. Sebert also shot down rumours that her daughter went to rehab for alcoholism, insisting Kesha was suffering from bulimia — not alcohol or drug addiction.
