American reality television star Khloe Kardashian and estranged husband Lamar Odom are apparently growing closer to each other. The Kocktails With Khloé host is helping the 36-year-old athlete recover his health, after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel on 13 October 2015 in Nevada.

"When Lamar isn't in physical therapy he is with Khloe. They continue to be closer than ever. No one really knows what will happen with them in the future," a source told E! News.

"Lamar has a very positive attitude, Khloe is so proud of him. She encourages and motivates him everyday. Right now, they have him focusing on lower body strength exercises. He makes a little bit of progress everyday, but it's still baby steps. He went from not being able to even stand on his own, to now, he is almost power-walking," the insider added.

It was previously reported that Odom showed first signs of improvement after the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, who is still legally married to him, said "I love you" to the former NBA player. During an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kardashian talked about Odom's recovery and her decision to put her divorce on hold. She said: "Well I'm there helping him and I love him and I've always loved him. And that will never change and I just feel like it's a really insensitive thing to fast forward a divorce. But I love him and I always will and he's a fantastic person who deserves support and love and for someone to be by his side and for me I'm that to him."

This comes after reports emerged that Kardashian and James Harden have broken up. Another source told E! News: "They just barely saw each other the past few months and it died out."
