No Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman sequel!

The names of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders were missing from the press release of the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel from Universal Pictures. Rupert Sanders is replaced by The Shawshank Redemption's Frank Darabont.

Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth will be back as Ravenna and the Huntsman Eric respectively, and the film will centre on their back story before Snow White came into play, reported Us Weekly.

The movie will be a prequel, not a sequel of Snow White and the Huntsman.

Three-time Oscar nominee Frank Darabont, who is best known for his work in The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, will direct the movie.

Stewart, 24, essayed the role of Snow White in the original 2012 fantasy action film.

Kirsten Stewart and Sanders shocked the world when photos of the Twilight actress cheating on Robert Pattinson, and kissing Sanders were published. At the time, Sanders was married to model Liberty Ross and Stewart was in a long-term relationship with Twilight Actor Robert Pattinson.

Sanders and Ross, who have two children together, finalised their divorce late last month.

In a recent interview with Esquire UK, Robert Pattinson, who remained quiet regarding the cheating scandal, finally broke his silence.

"S--- happens, you know? It's just young people... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s---? The hardest part was talking about it afterwards," he shared.

The prequel of Snow White and the Huntsman, simply called The Huntsman, will be opening in theatres on April 22, 2016.
