American pop diva Lady Gaga unveiled flying dress at her album release party for ARTPOP called artRave, at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York.

The 27-year-old talked about Volantis- a creation of engineer Benjamin and designer Nancy.

"Volantis is essentially a vehicle," Gaga detailed the fiber optic dress, "I wanted to make today about something even more important to me. And what that something is the youth of the world. Benjamin and Nancy are here with me today. Their minds are just so boundless. They are so inspiring. Although she is a vehicle, she is essentially a metaphor for me. I will be a vehicle today for their voices... Youth all over the world."

The Telephone singer then also flew over the warehouse floor. which was filled with artist Jeff Koons sculptures.

Vanity Fair's Bennett Marcus asked Gaga, where does she intend to use the device.

"Well, for right now, here," she said, "But actually she will just come back to where we're working on her; we work on her in the desert very often, and we will continue to make her better and better and better. Hopefully she will be the future of many different things."

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Gaga is preparing to perform a show in space. According to Us Weekly, the Bad Romance hitmaker will become the first musician to sing in orbit when she takes her talents onto a Virgin Galactic ship in 2015.
