Overview

Lahore Lions need to win comfortably in order to make it to the semifinals of the Champions League T20. So far, Kings XI Punjab, Hobart Hurricanes, Kolkata Knight Riders have made it to the next round of the ongoing tournament.

With one place left in the last four, the fight will be between Lahore Lions and Chennai Super Kings. The Indian Premier League side have completed all their four group stage matches.

MS Dhoni's side sits second in the table with 10 points after four matches. Meanwhile, the Lions are third with six points and with one game in hand, which is against the Scorchers. A victory for Mohammad Hafeez's side will see them get the same points as the Super Kings.

A defeat for Lahore Lions on Tuesday will end their hopes of making it to the semifinals. However, a victory over Perth Scorchers will see the Pakistan domestic T20 side share the same points with CSK and the team with a better Net Run Rate will qualify and make it to the last four.

Meanwhile, Perth Scorchers have seen their hopes of making it further in the Champions League T20 end after their latest defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. A loss or a defeat will not have any impact of progressing further in the tournament.
