Singer Lana Del Rey has appeared naked but for her jewellery on the cover of British magazine GQ, which has crowned her Woman Of The Year.

The 26-year-old is seen leaning against a wall, seated on the floor with her legs crossed in front of her. The only items to adorn her body are a matching diamond and sapphire necklace, bracelet and ring.

The cover shot is just one of several risque images of Del Ray in the latest issue. The shoot took place in Monaco, shortly before the star, real name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, accepted her Woman of the Year prize at the GQ awards in London.

During her acceptance speech, Del Ray said: "We had a beautiful shoot in Monaco and I had a really interesting interview - for a change - and I was reminded of why I love to sing and why I wanted to become a writer."

The shoot was carried out by photographer Mariano Viviano, and Del Ray revealed he was helped by a coterie of support staff. She said:

"Paul,(Solomons) the creative director(GQ Magazine) was very hands on with the shoot. In fact, if you see in the magazine in the middle of the spread you'll see a hand hoisting up one of my boobs. That's Paul's hand. Couldn't have done it without him!"

Del Rey appears on one of the five special covers celebrating the fifteenth annual Men of The Year awards held by the magazine. Tinie Tempah, Robbie Williams, comedy actor James Corden and Mad Men actor John Slattery also appear on the alternative covers.

The magazine said Del Rey was a "true pop star in her own right. Having provoked equal amounts of debate and outrage throughout an incredible year, she fufills one of the key requirements for any good pop star: She gets talked about.

"Truly 2013 is hers for the taking."
