Under the glare of Sin City's bright lights, technology will be the headliner this week in Las Vegas as the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show gets ready to raise its curtain on Tuesday (January 06).

Meanwhile, workers were busy on Monday (January 05) ahead of the show, setting up the massive convention centre that will draw more than 150,000 visitors in search of the "next big thing."

Among the trends this year are the growing appetite for 4K TVs, sets that will offer 4 times the resolution of HDTV and stunning colour. South Korean electronics giants Samsung and LG are among those who are expected to be showing off a number of models.
