The Last of Us
Joel and Ellie, the stars of The Last Of Us Sony

Nolan North has revealed that developers Naughty Dog are working on a sequel to smash hit post-apocalyptic tale The Last Of Us. He's the first person in the know to reveal the game is being made.

He made the comments during a panel at Metrocon in Florida where he also revealed Visceral's Star Wars game will be like cancelled title 1313 and inspired by the Uncharted, which is developed by Naughty Dog and stars North.

Warning: His comment contains a spoiler for The Last Of Us

Towards the end of the talk, North says: "For now, last one I know they're doing a Last Of Us 2, but my character in Last of Us kinda... kinda... untimely demise..."

That's it. A follow-up seems likely given the game's huge success, so it is no great surprise. What will be interesting is whether the story of Joel and Ellie continues of if Naughty Dog choose to tell a whole new story in the world they have created.

For now, Naughty Dog are focusing on making Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, in which North once against stars as Nathan Drake, this time alongside The Last Of Us star Troy Baker as his brother Sam. The game will be released in Q1 2016 on PS4.
