It was only a matter of time before former reality star Lauren Conrad fulfilled one of her biggest fashion dreams and it will be happening as soon as September. The 29-year-old will make her debut at New York Fashion Week showcasing her brand new fashion range.

Announcing the exciting news on Instagram, The Hills alum revealed she will be unveiling her LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection for the first time on 9 September, kicking off the NYFW festivities for the SS16 season. Sharing the news, she wrote: "I am so excited to announce that I'll be debuting a new@LCLaurenConrad collection at #NYFW on September 9!

"We have been hard at work for months and I am so excited to finally be able to tell everyone!#LCRunway." During the runway show, Conrad and her fleet of models will present the 35 pieces available from the exclusive, limited-edition collection. After its debut, the line will be available to buy from Kohl's retailers across the US from September until December.

Describing the theme as a "modern day fairy tale", Conrad said in a statement: "Designing and seeing this capsule collection come to life has been an incredible experience. The aesthetic follows the easy, whimsical style of my Kohl's brand, but we've elevated this collection through amazing fabrications, vintage-inspired pieces and intricate detailing."

It will be the second time Conrad has teamed up with Kohl's following her first collection in February. Clearly inspired by princesses and fairy tales, the range consisted of pastel-coloured tutus and pretty garden dresses. Speaking about the Disney inspiration, the fashion designer told Pret-A-Porter: "I have been a Disney fan since I was young. I love the movies, the music and I go to the parks often. The idea for this particular collaboration came to me during my last trip to Disneyland.

"I was inspired by the whimsical nature of all the simple joys I saw all around me and I wanted to design an accessible collection any woman could wear that was inspired by that magic. I wanted the collection to be dreamy, feminine and pretty. The pieces are fun but also are styles that any woman can feel confident wearing. It was important to me to make sure the designs are wearable and versatile for all women."

After Conrad's debut, New York Fashion Week will officially start on 10 September.
