The Malaysian is one of only two seeded players remaining in the men's singles draw after home favourites Viktor Axelson and Jan O Jorgensen seeded two and three respectively lost in the earlier rounds. This makes it all the more favourable for Chong Wei to pick up his sixth title and strengthen his position as the top ranked player in the world.
